We are so very lucky to be in a profession centered around improving the quality of people's lives. In our effort to do so, establishing a foundation of physical speed or rapid movement should be a priority (as should providing greater mobility, strength, and balance). In this course, you will gain a new perspective on both the importance of speed training in older adults as well as the barriers that might impede such training. You will learn about the benefits associated with this kind of training and the direct impact that it has on older adults. You will learn effective movements to improve fast-twitch muscle fiber using bands and body weight rather than expensive equipment. Finally, you will learn exactly how and where to program rapid movement training into your practice.
