Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the importance of appropriate health and fitness assessments for mature students
  2. List the three criteria for selecting assessments
  3. Identify common functional assessments that are useful with mature students
  4. Describe how to properly perform the following assessments:
  5. 30 second Chair Stand
  6. 8’ Up and Go
  7. Resting blood pressure
  8. Modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction in Balance (mCTSIB)
  9. General Posture and Body Alignment

(The following forms can be used in partner work or possibly in some form in a group setting but do not have to be used)
