Module 10 – Columns
AT THIS POINT, YOU SHOULD…
You should have the entire form memorized and feel very comfortable with each move. This doesn’t mean that everything is perfect. You will, of course, continue to improve as you practice and start to implement the principles.
WHAT YOU WILL NOW LEARN:
The first basic principle is columns and it is really all about correct posture. You will learn how to teach columns so that your students can incorporate this idea into each move in the form.
ACTION PLAN:
Watch the entire video once all the way through. Then as you watch it again, stop the video and practice each move as it is presented. Then go through the form several times focusing on how the principle of columns is important to each move.
You should also study each of the three class plans for columns and practice teaching columns as it is presented in each plan. The class plans break the concept down so you only focus on a few of the ideas at a time and you don’t overwhelm your students.
