Module 2 – Beginning Homework
Welcome! You are about to start learning the individual moves to the Yang style 24 form.
AT THIS POINT, YOU SHOULD…
Be excited to start!
Understand that the spacing of this process is intentional. At times you may feel anxious and desire to speed up. That is natural, but it is important to solidify a foundation.
At times you may feel frustrated when you cannot master a certain move/aspect. That is ok too! It will take time and practice.
WHAT YOU WILL NOW LEARN:
The accompanying video simply shows you how to do the first few moves. In this first lesson, you will learn:
- Hold the ball
- Chi walking
- Pushing chi
- Brush knee
- Ward off sequence
ACTION PLAN:
You should practice these moves at least 15 minutes a day. Even if it seems easy to you, take the time to practice and begin to feel the relaxation that comes with tai chi. Concentrate on this relaxation and don’t try to muscle your way through the moves.
Before you move to the next lesson you should be comfortable with the following moves, with all of them beginning to be engrained in your muscle memory.
