Module 4 – Beginning Homework
How are you doing? Is your body starting to understand how to relax as you practice the moves? If so, you are on the right track!
AT THIS POINT, YOU SHOULD…
By now, you know 6 separate moves and can confidently hold the ball both left and right. You can also start to feel your balance improving as you chi walk and concentrate on the water flowing from one leg into the other.
WHAT YOU WILL NOW LEARN:
In this lesson, you will again repeat hold the ball and chi walking. You will also learn:
- Part the Wild Horse’s Mane
- Repulse the Monkey
- Kick, Smash and Box the Ears
Part the wild horses mane is similar to bush knee. The feet move the same way, but the hands and arms are just a bit different. You should now start to see how important hold the ball is as a transitional move. You will also begin to see how balance is important as you stand on one leg and kick. Repulse the monkey is the only move you will do that requires you to step backwards. Concentrate on shifting your weight back just like you shift your weight forward in chi walking.
ACTION PLAN:
Continue to practice this lesson for 15 minutes each day. Add an additional 5 minutes each day and rotate practicing the moves from lessons 1 and 2.
